The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will hold a visiting working group meeting with the participation of young scientists on August 25 in Astana. The main goal of the event is to discuss current issues in the development of Kazakhstani science and give impetus to the activities of young scientists.

The event is divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to the direction “Earth and Space” and will cover such topics as Energy and Mechanical Engineering; Information, communication and space technologies; Geology, production and processing of mineral and hydrocarbon raw materials, new materials, technologies, safe products and designs; National Security and Defense Research. The first session will take place at 10.00, at Astana IT University, at Astana, Mangilik el, 55/11.

The second part of the working group’s on-site meeting will be devoted to the direction “Agro and food security”, and the topics for discussion will be Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and the safety of agricultural products, Rational use of water resources, Ecology and others. The session will be held at 14.00, at the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin, at Astana, Zhenis Avenue, 62.

Since its creation, the Academy of Sciences has paid special attention to supporting young scientists. The off-site meeting of the working group is aimed at getting acquainted with the ideas of young scientists, hearing the problems that concern them, giving feedback and, in general, involving them more widely in the development and popularization of domestic science.
