The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan under the President of Kazakhstan, Kunsulu Zakariya, and the Vice President of the Academy, Lyazzat Eraliyeva, are participating in celebratory events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.
From December 12th to 14th in Tashkent, commemorative events are taking place in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Among them are the International Conference «Science — the Foundation of the New Uzbekistan,» an exhibition of innovative developments, an exposition showcasing the «History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan,» and other activities.
During a roundtable on December 13th, a memorandum on the development of scientific cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed.
The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan was founded on November 4th, 1943. It comprises more than 40 scientific divisions and three regional branches — the Karakalpak and Navoi branches, as well as the Khorezm Academy of Mamun.
