On April 2, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) and the Institute of Geography and Natural Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They also met with the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. During the visit, they familiarized themselves with the advanced developments and scientific research results conducted by these institutions.
The Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) is a leading scientific center specializing in microbiology. It is widely known for its outstanding research in the field of microorganism biology, microbiota, and their impact on various aspects of life and ecosystems.
The Institute of Geography and Natural Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducts research in the fields of geography, ecology, and sustainable use of natural resources. Its tasks include studying environmental changes, assessing biodiversity, and developing sustainable development strategies.
After visiting the institutions, Vice President of the Academy Lyazzat Yeraliyeva and Head of the Center for Scientific and Technical Cooperation Anar Mukhtarova also visited the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. There, they exchanged information with their Chinese colleagues in the field of medical research and practice, meeting with the Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy and Medical Sciences, Professor Jianwei Wang.
