On April 22, 2025, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, held an educational event titled “Bright Image” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the prominent scientist, statesman and public figure, renowned chemist, and one of the founders of the National Academy of Sciences – Ebiney Arystanuly Buketov.
The main purpose of the meeting was to popularize the rich scientific heritage of the great scholar and present it as a model for the younger generation.
The event was attended by the scientist’s descendants, his colleagues, students, as well as domestic and international scholars researching Ebiney Arystanuly’s scientific legacy.
Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Nesipkhan Abzhaparuly Bektenov shared his memories of Buketov’s spiritual presence in the scientific community, his research culture, and his integrity in science, highlighting his mentoring nature.
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Dina Muftakhovna Dzhusubalieva, who began her professional journey under Buketov’s guidance, spoke about his high moral character, his dedication to science and education, and his care for young researchers.
The scientist’s daughter, Aksulu Ebineikyzy Buketova, shared heartfelt memories of her father, speaking emotionally about his sense of responsibility to his family, the nation, and the scientific world.
Young scientists, students, teachers, and members of the academic community took part in the event. It was not only a tribute to a distinguished figure in national science, but also a spiritual lesson for the new generation.
The legacy of the great scholar is a beacon for youth.
