The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with paragraphs 22 and 23 of the Competition Documentation for the election of academicians of the National Academies of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Competition Documentation), provides an answer to the request for clarification of certain provisions of the competition documentation.

How many candidates can an organization nominate?
Answer:
According to paragraph 5 of the Rules for the election of academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2022, No. 223,
the right to nominate a candidate is granted only to a scientific organization or an organization of higher and (or) postgraduate education accredited as a subject of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities (hereinafter referred to as the organization) where the candidate is a full-time employee.
At the same time, in accordance with paragraph 6 of the aforementioned Rules, the nomination of a candidate is carried out only for one specialty (direction) in accordance with the Classifier of Scientific Directions approved by the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 5, 2021, No. 386.
